Copper corrodes to green. Thus the subtle greenish tones, not visible in this scan. In fact the picture is lighter with a faint blue sky.

By the way the girl is carrying a baseball in her right hand, part of the reason for the title. The flecks here and there in the lower sky are purposeful. They represent flying insects.

This is the last of my metal point works.
